NYP Club Crawl 20th - 21st April 2011 (2 days and counting down)
I have attached the floor plan together with details for club crawl. Our station will be at the red zone, named with adrenaline and at booth 19. The school will entitle us with $100 to design our booth. As for club signage, it will be designed mainly by school to standardize it for all the clubs. Therefore, we would only need to decorate the table and surfaces. We will also need a few helpers for decoration and materials. For the most appealing and best booth design will be awarded with fabulous prizes. There is also the best zone which we will liaise with all the red zone neighbours to do our entrance decoration.
Our Plan:
Buying of materials and cleaning of clubroom on 18th April (Need at least 5 - 7 volunteers)
Do the decoration and necessities on 19th April (Everyone) - Meeting time is 10am (whole day).
Eg: discussion, printing club flyers, creating notice board, decoration, setting up of booth (Which is done on 19 Apr), burning songs into cd, runners away to buy the needs in the city.
Our main objective is to capture the freshmen attention with our attractive notice, nice booth and performance.
We would need volunteers to bring your medals to our booth too. This is to showcase our very hard earned award during the past and now. (Medals or trophy can be ranged from Chin Khee Shin, National Tournaments, Mooto Competition, National Poomsae, Pol-ite, NTU TOC, Overseas tournaments and all other past events).

Taking photos:
Yes!, definitely shooting lots of photo is important! There are prizes given out if we win with the most votes by uploading our favorite and most interesting photo on facebook and getting our family members and friends to 'like' the photo we tagged. It has to be tagged on the student union or miss lina facebook to be consider taking part in the competition. You could find the address in one of the power-point slides.
We need at least 2 in-charge for this segment. It will be discuss on Tuesday training.
Handling of booth:
Handling and managing our booth is an important role also. Remember to always talk tactfully and promote the interest to the freshmen, sharing your invaluable experience and preserving our club etiquette. Followed by recording down interested freshmen names into our name list.
- Wearing full sparring gears and giving out flyers.
- Kicking hard target and hand mitt to demonstrate Taekwondo skills.
- Please be aware of the area constrains and do not block out the entire passageway.
Interesting events organized by student union:
Aside from just promoting our cca, the school has also organized Nerf war and some other mini games. Nerf war 1225 pm - 1240 pm.
What is Nerf war? - Nerf is actually a toy gun which can release rubbery bullets and do not cause injuries. http://www.hasbro.com/nerf/en_US/
Concerns everyone:
Immaterial of which certain events or competition, as long as you're part of NYP Taekwondo, it means your business! So everyone is equally important and respected. For those who're not performing, do not feel disappointed. You will definitely have chances to perform in many other events and next year's club crawl. We will need ample of help for these few days.
Actual day 20th Apr and 21st Apr:
- Booth standby, mini games, and giving out flyers 10am - 6pm
- Stage preparation time to be confirmed.
- Performance time 1:45 pm on both days.
