Upcoming Events

These are the upcoming events for NYP Taekwondo,

1. Color belt grading on this Sunday 17th July at Toa Payoh Sportshall, green belt and above remember to bring along your guards. Girls do not wear any hard object (No hair clips, earrings or ear sticks) and make sure there is no fringe covering your face (Use hair spray or small pins to pin the fringe up). Guys no fringe covering your face as well try to spike up your hair neatly and please*No Changing in public* go to the washroom to change to your dobok, this is a rule by the STF, please abide by it.

2. There will be mock grading on tomorrow,Friday training 15th July, everyone who is taking part in the grading have to come for the mock grading. *Take note: If you miss the mock grading you cannot go for the actual grading*. If you cannot make it for Friday's mock grading you can come for the mock grading on Saturday 16th July, at Zen Zone 3 training. Location is at Tampines St 11 Blk 111 basketball court, timing is at 7.30pm.

3. After the grading we will be going the post grading lunch at Clover Spring,

4. TP Friendly Match will be on 22nd July, Friday at our training area Blk E lvl 3, please reach the training ground at 6.30 to help set up the area. Yellow belts and above are allowed to spar, bring along your guards (Full guards if you have it). This friendly match will be between TP, NYP, Zen and Raiders, all those who wants to fight will need to collect an indemnity form from me, fill it in and pass it back.

5. There will a course of 10 lessons that teaches you how to treat sports injury (all practical sessions) through chinese tui na methods. The details are as followed

Date : 31s July, 7th August, 14th August, 21st August, 28th August, 4th September, 11th September, 18th September, 25th September and 2nd October.
Every Sunday starting from 31st July (Those who cannot make it for the first lesson due to Malacca competition can still go for the course starting from the 2nd lesson)

Time : 7pm : 9.30pm

Venue : SOHA TCM 1 kaki bukit rd #02-46 Enterprise One

Cost : $480

This course is conducted by the Doctor who specializes in the back injury at Haig Road.


6. There is an upcoming Kyorugi Referee course for Black belts, it is a 12-hour course covering the latest interpretations of the competition rules and regulations.

Blackbelt players are also encouraged to attend the course as it will help them in the understanding of the rules, the knowledge will stand them in good stead in their preparation for the competition and in the competition.
