1. Help-out for Singapore Youth Festival
Time: 3pm-5pm
Venue: Expo Hall 4
we will be required to shift the tables and chairs etc. after the set-up we will move off as a group to training at NYP. Brian sir is leading the team on this initiative and will be there, please bring along your dobok as you still need to rush down to class after that. Anyone who wishes to volunteer can pass your name to either Winnie or me at 92278823 or 98196902 respectively. If you have the time please volunteer and give back to the Taekwondo community!
2. Help-out for National Kyorugi Competition
The National Kyorugi Competition will be on 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th of September. All of us are strongly encouraged to help out for this competition (As runner, recorder etc.) There are many reasons for helping out main reasons are,
1) For TKD Community
Repaying the benefits to the Taekwondo Community/Committee, for their hard-work and efforts in maintaining all kinds of Taekwondo events.
2) For NYP TKD Community
Benefiting us when we have to run an event, administrative work and registration ourselves. To also teach our junior and passing down this knowledge to one another.
3) For Ourselves
Reducing your fear in competition when you see all the people around you. When you help out in such job and task, it will give you a better understanding, awareness and self-confidence.
This is also a good chance for us to show our positive attitude and good impression to our instructors.
What will we be doing there?
Cleaning the area or arena, typing and recording competition data, blowing the whistle to start or stop a match, timer, runner, transporter, logistic etc.
Please reply if you are attending at the Facebook Event link HERE and submit the dates that you can commit on 3rd, 4th, 10th or 11th September to Siang Ern at 97872242. The location of the National Kyorugi is at Toa Payoh Sportshall and timing will most probably be from morning to night around 6pm. (Might drag).
3. Durian Trip
There will be a durian trip on this coming Tuesday 9th August National Day organised by Brian Sir, location will be around geylang. Meeting time and venue are,
Time: 3pm
Meeting Venue: Paya Lebar Bus Stop (We will take a bus down to the durian stall from there)
4. Adidas Bag
Brian Sir has gotten an offer for a Adidas Bag, Original price is at around $80-$100 but the discounted price is at around $50 (should be $47). It would be good to purchase this bag not only because it is on offer, but also when we go for competition under NYP, we will bring the same bag and it would make us look more bonded as a team. Additionally, if we have enough order we will be able to print our club logo on the bag so do consider on whether you wish to purchase the bag and for those who wants to purchase the bag, please give your name to me (98196902). 4. Paintball Trip Cancelled
The paintball trip on 10th and 11th September is cancelled because of the clash in date with the National Kyorugi Competition. We will try to sought for more paintball events and further notice of it will be posted on the blog and facebook so do check them out regularly.
